9 years and 5 kids later

Two of my college roommates from Hope came
up today with their families. It was great seeing them
and watching our kids play together! However, getting
the kids, all under the age of 3 to all sit for a picture was quite the trip.

Poor Baby II

I'm so happy we don't have to do eye drops

any more. Lauren did an awesome job with her

surgery and as you can tell, her eyes are straight!

Because Lauren had just been hospitalized
a month ago she sort of knew what was coming.
The entire morning she was very mellow and still -
a rarity!

After surgery we had to keep cold compresses
on her eyes. She was okay with this as long
as she was sleeping - otherwise not so much.

Childrens Museum

We took Lauren to the Grand Rapids Childrens Museum
the day before her surgery. She loved it!

I loved watching her different faces!

Lauren especially enjoyed everything
that involved some sort of ball.

Play-doh - a great thing!

We hadn't given much thought to play-doh - until now.
She loves to play with it!

Coffee break

Lauren loves drinking her "coffee" -
a.k.a. water, just like mommy!

Fourth of July

We went out on the boat to watch the fireworks.
We weren't quite sure how Lauren would do but
she loved them.

She even became brave enough to move around.

Day at the park...again!

Suddenly Lauren doesn't like to have her
picture taken...or maybe it was the mood of the day.

Anniversary #7

Aaron and I went to the Shack for our 7th
anniversary - it was so relaxing.
